Millennium Falcon Display Table

A custom display table designed and built around a much-loved LEGO UCS Millennium Falcon. The intention was to create a piece that reads as furniture from across the room, while revealing a more atmospheric, narrative environment up close.

The table is constructed from American oak with a natural soap finish and exposed box-jointed corners. Inside, a satin-black hangar-style setting incorporates 3D-printed architectural details, concealed LED lighting and subtle ambient sound. A clear acrylic hood protects the model without visually enclosing it.

The lighting, audio, controls and rechargeable power supply are hidden within the plinth, leaving the exterior simple and self-contained. What began as a display case became a much broader exploration of furniture-making, model-making, electronics and light—a table designed not simply to contain the Falcon, but to hold a scene around it.
